Donna is an 8-year member of ABWA and current chair of Verdugo’s Glen Chapter’s 2009 Anniversary Night, Fundraising, Newsletter and board Advisor.

On the council level, Donna has served as IMPACT Council Chair emeritus, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Chapter Delegate, Nominating Committee Chair, awarded perfect attendance, 4 years and Co-Chair of the Tri-Council 2010 Social.  Within LAAC, she has served as Nominating Chair, Forum VIP Liaison Chair, Co-Chair of the LA’s Largest Mixer and Chapter Delegate.

At the National level she has served as 2006 National Women’s Leadership Exhibitor Chair, 2007 Credentials Committee and JoAnn Osby’s District 6 Vice President campaign committee.

 

Within her leadership in the Verdugo Glen Chapter, she served two terms as President 2006-2007 & 2007-2008), assisted chapter in receiving ABWA’s national coveted Star Award, (2 years) and Best Practices in Management Awards (2 years), 8 years Perfect Attendance, and the coveted Woman of the Year 2005-06 & 2007-2009 and Top Ten 2006-06.

 

Donna will share with us the benefits of being an ABWA Member.  There are so many valuable tools and helpful resources available on www.abwa.org. Donna will be teaching us how to navigate through the WIN program!  There is nobody better than Donna Hempel to bring us this powerful information!

Kelly Goodman has been a WaveCrester since 2004.  She has been expanding her business relationships through networking since she started in Financial Services business in 2001.  She has been called, “The Queen of Networking” by those who know her from her networking circles like The HB Chamber, Huntington Harbour Power Partners, Team Referral Network and LeTip and of course the WaveCresters Chapter of ABWA. 

 

During the March 1^st WaveCresters Dinner and Event, Kelly will be sharing the benefits of how to effectively network through a recent networking trend called, “Speed Networking”.  If you saw the movie, “Hitch” with Will Smith, you are familiar with “Speed Dating”.  “Networking is similar to “Dating” because you will be asking questions to get to know the person you are visiting with and the reason there’s “Speed” in the title is because you only have 1-2 minutes to do it!  Both networking and dating share the goal of building a potential relationship.  Only with networking you will be building a business and friendship relationship as opposed to a potential romance!  Have fun with “Speed Networking”!
