WELCOME OUR NEWEST MEMBERS TO THE WAVECRESTERS CHAPTER, ABWA
April Blackman
April R. Blackman Esq. is one of the newest members of the WaveCresters ABWA Chapter! She currently lives in Costa Mesa. Her husband Dereck Blackman is the lead singer of “Dominion Status”, a rock reggae band. They have 2 daughters. Ashley is a 23 year old college student in Berkeley, CA and Danni is a 14 year old high school student. April’s passions are politics and political causes!
April Blackman believes that by striving to acquire the most favorable results for her clients she will be able to maintain and restore dignity to their lives and make an indelible, positive impact on society. This maxim was the impetus for April Blackman to initially decide to become an attorney. The values gained from her life's personal experiences have enabled her to forge a pattern of empathy for the public at large that is unparalleled in today's business of law. With years of trial experience under her belt and incredible negotiating skills, April has been able to gain the upper hand in her battles against the "Evil Insurance Empire" and has prevailed against injustice in family matters and other areas of law.
April Blackman earned her B.A. in psychology at the University of California, Riverside, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Whittier Law School in Orange County California. Form many years she has vigorously and passionately represented clients in various aspects of law and is known as "a force to be reckoned with." Shis a member of various orgaizations including the American Bar Association, OCTLA, CAOC and ABWA. April Blackman has and will always put her best foot forward with any given task. Suzy Bryant
Suzy M. Bryant, MA, CPC is the newest member of the WaveCresters! She joined during our January meeting with Dr. Bergman. She was born in Glendale, CA and along with her husband Bron; they currently divide their time between Sandpoint, Idaho and Huntington Beach, CA. Her hobbies include an interest in fashion, reading, knitting, and her own passion for personal development.
Suzy, a life coach and consultant, has been with Beauti Control for the past seven years. She calls her business, “Boomer Beauti” and she provides women with spa treatments in the home or office, as well as an amazing career opportunity. Her mission is to refresh, renew and help women to create a life they love.
For those not familiar with Beauti Control; Beauti Control is a direct sales company (owned by Tupperware) which is fairly new to parts of California. Their mission is to “Empower women to create the life they love”. As a beauty company they specialize in spa treatments, personalized skin care and advanced anti-aging products through the at home spa experience. In addition, there is a wonderful line of mineral make-up and bath and body products.
Boomer Beauti is a mobile spa and home based Internet business. It is a win-win for everyone involved, as well as a whole lot of fun.

Tonia Collinske
Tonia Collinske is one of our newest members of the WaveCresters Chapter. She joined at our December “Holiday Glitz at The Ritz” year end celebration in Newport Beach. She was born in Denver, Colorado only because her dad was in the service. Her Mom took her little bundle of joy back home to CA asap! She currently lives with her mom in Costa Mesa.
Tonia is a Public Relations Writer and the proud Owner of her company called New Growth Communications which opened its doors about 18 months ago. She provides public relations copy writing and editing, specializing in social media. Her primary customers are non-profits and small businesses. In conjunction with a web developer, NGC recently completed an overhaul of www.habitatoc.org. This site is an example of theme, consistency of message and logical sequencing. Tonia just completed her first level certification in interior design and is continuing that major just for fun. She designs and sells jewelry as a sideline. She also enjoys reading, tai chi, walking, shopping, and going out to eat. She volunteers with OC Human Relations and is an active member of PRSA (public relations) and NAWBO-OC.

Carolyn Zainer
Carolyn Zainer is one of our newest members of the WaveCresters Chapter. She joined at our December “Holiday Glitz at The Ritz” year end celebration in Newport Beach. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, is single and currently lives in Newport Beach, CA. Her hobbies are Interior Design and Custom Stemware Design.
